I have always been interested in Science. Even as a child, I was always mixing things together that would get me
into trouble! I even evacuated my high school once because I couldn't remember if it was acid into water or water
into acid!
Before becoming a teacher, I was a Medical Technologist. I used to test drinking water and sewage for safety
as the laboratory manager of a Westerville water company. Before that, I ran toxicology tests for any and all legal,
and non-legal, drugs. It was interesting to work with police departments as well as testifying in court cases.
I attended Ohio University for my Bachelor's of Science degree in Medical Technology and then Ashland University for
my teaching licensure for 7th to 12th grade Life Science and Chemistry. I have had experiences at Delaware Hayes
High School, Olentangy Liberty High School, Olentangy High School, and Westerville South High School before coming to
SHS! Go Bulldogs!
My husband, two daughters, son, and Sammy and Jake (two 100 pound Labrador Retrievers) join me at home. We
also have a blind cat and two turtles that are usually visiting school!
